Lawson’s 6 Month Milestone Session

I love milestone photos. It's so much fun to have my newborns come back- watching these kids grow up is such an amazing experience. One of the things I loved most about his session was the adorable heirloom outfit that his father was photographed in for his six month photos. Incorporating family heirlooms is wonderful because it adds a personal touch to your images. And if anything needs to be personal, it's your photos!

Kathleen’s Newborn Studio Portraits

In August 2016 I donated a gift certificate to the Children's Trust Benefit Gala and Silent Auction. Kathleen's mom contacted me afterwards to let me know that she had won and that she wanted to do a newborn session when she had her little girl. I'm always excited to photograph newborns and especially a newborn baby girl! From September 2016 up until now I have had 29 boys and only 5 girls, so I loved pulling out all the pinks and purples, flowers, and ruffles.

Newborn Ethan Rocks His St. Louis Cardinals Hat!

Ethan was so great for his newborn session! After I had my knee surgery in 2016, I had the pleasure of meeting Ethan's mom at my physical therapist's office. If anybody has ever had physical therapy, you know that in spending so much time there, you get to know everybody. While I was there I started talking to her and she found out that I was a newborn photographer. I was so excited when she emailed me this past fall letting me know that she was expecting!

In general, I let my newborn clients know that I have all the props and backgrounds for their session. However, some clients will bring in something important to them and I'll see if I can work it into their session. Ethan's daddy loves the St. Louis Cardinals! How cute is he in his first Cardinals hat. (more…)

Brecken’s One Year Milestone ~ Child Photographer SC

In December while I was hosting Christmas Minis, Brecken's grandmother stopped in and mentioned that she was interested in some milestone portraits for her grandson. After she called me to set up an appointment, I had the family stop by the studio to look through props, outfits, and get an idea of what they wanted for their session. The reason I do this is to help the milestone sessions go faster having everything prepared ahead of time and I can focus on photographing those precious children. I was super stoked when they showed up with two adorable family heirloom props- the yellow car was his grandfather's and the red one was his grandmother's!

Stone’s Newborn Session

I started the year with a little boy in the studio. I shot Mr. Stone when he was nine days old and nine pounds heavy. He was so adorable and I loved that he sat in my posing pod chair!
