In December while I was hosting Christmas Minis, Brecken’s grandmother stopped in and mentioned that she was interested in some milestone portraits for her grandson. After she called me to set up an appointment, I had the family stop by the studio to look through props, outfits, and get an idea of what they wanted for their session. The reason I do this is to help the milestone sessions go faster having everything prepared ahead of time and I can focus on photographing those precious children. I was super stoked when they showed up with two adorable family heirloom props- the yellow car was his grandfather’s and the red one was his grandmother’s!
As a photographer I would love to post beautiful, happy milestone sessions every time, but the reality is that nine times out of ten these happy children aren’t happy for the entire session. For example, this photo below… Super not happy… hahahaha
Though I’m not always patient with my own children, I am a fairly patient person when it comes to photography and generally we can distract them long enough to get a few smiles.
Seriously… how cool is this fire chief car!!! Milestone photography is so much fun! Getting to see these children through the first year of their life is such a privilege. If you or anyone you know is looking for a milestone photographer I’d love to talk with you! All of my contact information is below.
Blessings,
Leigh
If you have any questions or would like to set up a session, I’d love to hear from you!
