I pulled out all the stops for Cameron. Before she came into the studio I had seven boys all in a row! So she got to try on some gorgeous outfits. Cameron was amazing and slept so well the whole time I was dressing and wrapping and posing her.
After clients have booked a session with me I send them a questionnaire to help me understand what they’re thinking for their photos. Once the baby is born I also send a prepping guide to help the session go smoothly. It’s best if the baby is awake before the session so that he or she will sleep while I’m photographing. While I love shots where they’re awake, most of the posing I do requires a sleeping baby. This is also why I try and photograph soon after birth. Babies are generally the most sleepy at this time, though that’s not always true!

The parent photos from her session are some of my favorites. Editing the photos later took me back to their session and I fell in love with these images all over again. In my job I have the opportunity to interact with families- each one unique and special in their own way, but the love is always the same. It’s incomparable and amazing and overwhelming. I want to help you capture the love and beauty that grows in your family and make that into a memory that lasts and lasts.
I absolutely love newborn photography. Looking for a newborn photographer or know someone who is? I would love to talk with you. If your baby is no longer a newborn, you’re in luck! I also do milestones, such as four, eight, and twelve month photos for those who want to document the first year in their child’s life. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Blessings,
Leigh
